He was born in Athens in 1959. He studied painting in Higher School of Fine Arts in Athens (1977-1982) and Philosophy – Aesthetics in Sorbonne, Paris I (1984). With the scholarship by the Greek state Scholarship Foundation he continued his studies at the Royal College of Art of London (1987). Since then, he has been a visiting lecturer at Portsmouth Polytechnic (England 1989), at the Oslo Academy Of Fine Arts (Norway 1991), at Falmouth School of Art (Cornwall 1986). He participated in a three month exchange program at Valands Konsthögskola, Göteberg (Sweden 1987). He has been visiting lecturer at the Athens Higher School Of Fine Arts (1988-89) and at the Fine Arts Department of the Aristotelian University Of Thessalonici (1988&1990).
